READY TO CALL THE PRESERVE HOME?

OWNERSHIP

The Preserve at Walnut Springs was founded by modern day pioneers – a group of like-minded individuals that paved the way in land stewardship. Through conservation practices, the Preserve is protecting open space, outdoor recreational opportunities and a quality of life that’s becoming harder and harder to find.

ARCHITECTURAL PROCESS

The Preserve at Walnut Springs is unique in its commitment to architectural excellence and to the preservation of the area’s majestic scenery and diverse wildlife. Design Guidelines have been developed to communicate the philosophy of developing with sensitivity towards the preservation and conservation of the environment. These are minimum standards of design, driven in part by the climate, natural habitat, and terrain of the site. They provide direction in the planning, design, and construction of residential structures to ensure compatibility with that environment.

WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT

More than a decade ago, the Preserve set in place a Wildlife Management Plan that nurtures the land, provides for a healthy herd of Texas longhorn cattle, and monitors and manages native species populations. This approach towards land management is also economical, both in terms of shared management expense and in allowing our Texas Hill Country land and ranch owners to claim agricultural exemption and property tax exemption for wildlife management.
